Plant/Tool Share Program Introduction and Instructions
Norfolk Master Gardeners are trying out an online Plant Share Program. Have a plant/tool that you want to share? Then complete the requested information below.
Interested in bringing one of these plants/tools home? Then contact the sharer directly to learn more about the plant/tool and perhaps make it your own.
SHARE A PLANT/TOOL
Please enter the requested information below on the submission form and send for review. You must check the "I am not a robot"
box before you will be able to submit the email. Press 'Submit' once. The form will send your entry and then open the Plant/Tool Share List. Please be patient as it does take the spreadsheet about 5 minutes to update the new information.
Entries will be removed after 30 days.
Recommended Information:
- Your name and email address and the request status.
- Either Give the common name,of the plant, botanical name, if known, or the name of the tool and attach a photo, showing the plant/tool. The submission form will let you upload an image file, so have it available when you are filling out the form.
- Enter only one (1) plant/tool per form please.
Optional Information:
A description of the growing conditions that could include:
- soil type,
- food source for birds from berries, nectar or resident insects
- propagation: how to create new plants
- native/alien: original or introduced and to what types of environment. Is it invasive?
- pollinators/hosts: nectar source for pollinators (butterflies, moths, bees, other insects) and/or larval host
- moisture needs: dry, moist or wet soil
- sun needs: full sun, partial sun or shade
- seasonal interest: seasonal changes in the leaves, flowers, fruit
- etc
