A potager garden is a vegetable plot, interspersed with flowers, to create an area that is not only beautiful but also productive. This demonstration project is nestled inside the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Its goals are to: educate visitors in all aspects of potager garden management and experience the joy of growing; act as a continuing education venue for all Norfolk Master Gardeners; and donate produce to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. Working with NBG staff, NMGs are involved in the planning, preparation and demonstration of the Potager Garden throughout the year.
