NMGs maintain this site as a demonstration project. Work here allows us to continue building our horticultural knowledge by learning about native plants, flowers, and wildlife. Maintenance includes planting native species and removing invasives. We also lead tours, act as docents, and supervise members of the public who volunteer for work groups to help with upkeep. The sanctuary is on property managed by the Cape Henry Audubon Society, located at 1501 Armistead Bridge Road in the West Ghent neighborhood.
